The reef is so spectacular and there are so many different ways to see the reef such as day cruises, semi-submersible tours, underwater observatories and helicopter flights. The Outer Reef is closest to Cairns and is a popular destination for snorkelling and diving with its stunning coral and clear waters. The Knuckle Reef Lagoon is a popular destination for those who are visiting the Whitsunday's. It is considered as one of the most spectacular sights of the Great Barrier Reef.
