One of Australia's best-selling female writers, Rachael Treasure, will return to the Deni Ute Muster to launch her latest book, The Girl and the Ghost-Grey Mare.

The Deni Ute Muster will be the first time the public get to have a look at the author's newest book, which will be officially launched for sale in bookstores on October 3.

Rachael will be on site at the 2011 Deni Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1, signing copies of her new book.

"It will be great to return to the Deni Ute Muster, I was there two years ago launching a book and it was such a fabulous Australian event and the patrons were such a great group of people, I had to return to launch my latest book," she said.

The Girl and the Ghost-Grey Mare â€" a wonderfully entertaining and touching collection of short stories - full of warmth, heart and humour and with characters as lively and lovable as Rachael herself.

With personal introductions to each story the collection provides a fascinating and privileged insight into one of the stars of Australian fiction. Including favourite stories 'The Girl and the Ghost-Grey Mare' and 'The Evolution of Sadie Smith', as well as some earlier works â€" and most importantly, a number of entirely new stories.
