Located in South Australia the Barossa Valley is one of Adelaide's most popular wine regions. The Barossa Valley covers an area of 912 square kilometres with main towns of the region being Tanunda, Nuriootpa, Rowland Flat and Lyndoch. The region has a population of about 20,000.

The Barossa Valley is well known for its wine producing and attracts visitors from all over the globe. Well known vineyards include Penfolds Grange, Wolf Blass, Chateau Tanunda, Barossa Valley Estate and Grant Burge. Menglers Hill Lookout is a great place to stop for amazing views of the Barossa Valley. The Barossa Valley also produces some delicious fresh produce with Maggie Beers Farm Shop being a great ambassador for the region.

Many events are held in the Barossa Valley and the Farmers Markets is popular weekly event that showcases the regions produces. If you are planning a trip to Adelaide make sure you allow a day to tour the Barossa Valley.
