Sydney

Sydney is the capital of New South Wales. It is one of Australia’s most popular cities as well as the oldest and the largest city. Sydney is built around a stunning huge harbour, it is full of many tourist attractions and landmarks. It is also home to some fabulous beaches, bays and a couple of national parks.

The most popular landmarks that you have to see are the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge! The Sydney Opera House is located in the waterside suburb of Circular Quay. It hosts 4 auditoriums, showing music, ballet, theatre and film performances.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the largest steel arch bridge in the world which is across the Sydney Harbour. The Sydney Harbour Bridge carries traffic between the Sydney CBD and the North Shore. The bridge is 134 metres high, 49 metres wide with a curve of 503 metres. It is definitely worth climbing as there are spectacular views.

For you shopaholics out there Sydney is a shoppers dream. You will definitely need to dedicate a full day to shopping! Sydney's city is home to some of the best shopping centres in the city. There is something for everyone with over 400 specialty stores in just 8 retail centres.

Also the Queen Victoria building is a great shopping centre. This stunning shopping centre occupies an entire city block. It is home to a huge array of boutiques and designer stores.

For some fun in the sun you also have to visit Bondi Beach! I stayed in Bondi while I visited Sydney and it was great! Bondi is well known for its great sandy beach, as well as its surf. It has a number of cafes and restaurants which look out over the beach and makes a great place to stay and visit.
